Frequently asked questions

Everything you want to know before you start.

Straight answers about how Vael works. Product-specific questions live on each product page; the guides go deeper on the science.

Getting started

What does Vael actually sell?

Three physician-prescribed peptides for women, each as a subcutaneous injection shipped ready to use: GHK-Cu (copper peptide) for skin renewal, NAD+ for cellular energy, and glutathione for antioxidant support and glow. You can order them individually or as a Stack that combines two or three at a lower combined price.

Do I need a prescription?

Yes. Every Vael product is a compounded prescription medication. After checkout you complete a short health screening, and a licensed physician reviews it. Only if the physician approves is a prescription written and your card charged.

Who is Vael for?

Adult women who want physician oversight rather than a gray-market vial. Most of our patients are in their thirties to fifties and are focused on skin firmness, energy, and an even, brighter complexion. Vael is not for anyone who is pregnant, breastfeeding, under 18, or managing an active cancer diagnosis. The screening asks about these directly.

How do I know which peptide to start with?

Take the 60-second quiz at /quiz. It matches your goal (skin, energy, glow, or all three) to a single peptide or a Stack. If you already know what you want, you can add it to your cart directly from the product page.

Physician review and prescriptions

Who reviews my order?

A licensed physician on the Vael medical team reviews your health screening and decides whether the peptide you selected is appropriate for you. You can read about the physicians at /team.

What happens if the physician does not approve my order?

Your card is not charged for that product. Because we save your payment method at checkout but only charge after approval, a declined screening costs you nothing.

Does the physician adjust my protocol over time?

The physician prescribes your protocol and reviews each renewal before it ships. Day-to-day, you follow the printed dosing instructions that come with your order. If something feels off, contact support@vaelrx.com and the care team will route your question appropriately.

How long can I stay on a peptide?

Each prescription covers up to three months. Before each renewal a physician reviews your reorder, so you are never on an open-ended prescription without a check.

Pricing, subscriptions, and cancellation

How much does it cost?

Each peptide is $229 per month billed monthly, or $210 per month ($630 every 90 days) billed quarterly. The Radiance Stack and Vitality Stack are $339 per month; the Total Renewal Stack is $519 per month. Full details, including what ships in the box, are on the pricing page.

Is this a subscription?

Yes. Vael products are sold as recurring subscriptions so a vial arrives before you run out. You choose monthly or quarterly delivery at checkout. Every renewal is physician-reviewed before your card is charged.

Can I cancel?

Anytime, before your next renewal. Skip, pause, or cancel under Manage Subscription in your profile, or email support@vaelrx.com. Cancellation stops all future charges. It does not refund a charge that a physician has already approved.

What is your refund policy?

You are only charged after a physician approves your prescription. Once that charge is processed, all sales are final, because prescription medications cannot be returned or resold. If something arrives damaged or incorrect, contact support@vaelrx.com right away and we will make it right.

Does insurance cover Vael?

No. Vael is direct-pay. Compounded peptides are not covered by insurance, and we do not bill insurers.

Shipping and storage

Where do you ship?

All 50 U.S. states. Refrigerated products ship in cold-chain packaging. Quarterly orders ship free; monthly orders carry a $15 shipping charge.

How should I store my vials?

Vael ships every peptide fully reconstituted and ready to use. Store refrigerated 36-46°F. Do not freeze. Keep the vial upright and out of direct light, and discard it by the beyond-use date on the pharmacy label.

What comes in the box?

Your ready-to-use vial, sterile syringes, alcohol prep pads, and a printed injection guide. You will also have access to the Vael Health dashboard for tracking. A sharps container is not included; any rigid, lidded container works for used syringes.

Using your peptide

How do I inject it?

All three peptides are small subcutaneous injections, the same kind used for insulin: a short, thin needle into the fatty layer of the abdomen, thigh, or back of the arm. The printed guide and our home injection article walk through it step by step.

How often do I inject?

GHK-Cu and NAD+ are once daily on weekdays; glutathione is twice a week. Your prescription label and the printed guide are the final word, and they are what the physician set for you.

Are these FDA-approved?

No. GHK-Cu, NAD+, and glutathione from Vael are compounded prescription products made by a licensed 503A compounding pharmacy. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not verify their safety or effectiveness. That is exactly why every order goes through physician review first. Our safety information page covers this in detail.
